Play it Forward is Blooprint's community impact initiative, bringing immersive career-exploration play experiences to children in schools, community organizations, and underserved neighborhoods across Atlanta and beyond. Because every child deserves access to the Blooprint experience regardless of zip code, background, or circumstance. When children play, they imagine. When they imagine, they believe. And when they believe, they lead.

  • Play it Forward is the nonprofit arm of Blooprint Imaginative Play® a registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing immersive, educator-led career exploration play experiences to children who need them most, at no cost to families, schools, or communities.

    We believe imagination is one of the most powerful tools a child can have. And we believe every child deserves access to it not just the children whose families can afford it.

  • Play it Forward was born from the same belief that built Blooprint that a child who is given space to dream will grow into an adult who knows how to lead.

    Founded by Lauren A. Watts, a 20-year early childhood education professional and Atlanta native, Play it Forward closes the gap between the children who have access to high-quality enrichment experiences and the children who do not. Through free programming, subscription box scholarships, and community pop-up activations, we bring the full Blooprint experience to Title I schools, children in foster care and transitional housing, Head Start centers, and families facing financial barriers across Metro Atlanta.

    Because the children who need this most are often the ones who have access to it least. Play it Forward exists to change that.

  • Every dollar donated to Play it Forward goes directly to a child's experience. Here is exactly where your gift goes:

    Free Workshops for Title I Schools
    We bring our full career-themed classroom experience to Title I schools at no cost to the school or its families. Every child in the room receives the same quality experience as any privately booked program the same costumes, the same activities, the same educator-led engagement.

    Subscription Box Scholarships
    We sponsor monthly Imagination Box® subscriptions for children in need delivering career-themed costumes, storybooks, activity materials, and learning supplies directly to families who could not otherwise access them.

    Community Pop-Up Activations
    Through our Blooprint Pop Play Go™ mobile activation, we bring the full career-exploration play experience to community centers, housing developments, churches, and neighborhood events across Atlanta free of charge to every family in attendance.

    Materials and Supplies
    Costumes, props, activity cards, storybooks, and learning materials that go directly into the hands of children not into administrative overhead.

    Play it Forward is committed to transparency. The overwhelming majority of every donation goes directly to program delivery. Administrative costs are kept minimal through the operational support of Blooprint Imaginative Play®. An annual impact report is published each year detailing the number of children served, programs funded, and communities reached.

  • Individual Giving
    Every gift, no matter the size directly funds a child's play experience. Whether you give $35 or $3,500 your donation puts something real and meaningful into the hands of a child who needs it.

    $35 — sponsors one child's workshop experience
    $65 — funds one month of an Imagination Box scholarship
    $150 — sponsors a full family's community pop-up activation
    $500 — funds a complete classroom workshop for 20 children
    $1,000+ — sponsors a full school program day for an entire Title I school

    All donations to Play it Forward are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. You will receive a donation receipt via email for your records.

    Corporate Giving and Sponsorship
    Companies that partner with Play it Forward do not just write a check they become part of a story. Corporate sponsors receive recognition on our website and social media, impact reports documenting the children served, and the opportunity to participate in sponsored programming events.

    As a WBENC-certified women-owned business, partnering with Play it Forward also supports your company's supplier diversity and community investment goals.

    Request Programming
    If you represent a Title I school, Head Start program, foster care agency, transitional housing organization, or community group serving children in Metro Atlanta we want to hear from you. Play it Forward accepts program requests from qualifying organizations on a rolling basis, subject to funding availability.

  • Is my donation tax-deductible?
    Yes. Play it Forward is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

    How do I know my donation is being used effectively?
    Play it Forward publishes an annual impact report detailing children served, programs funded, and communities reached. You can request our most recent impact report by contacting us directly.

    How do I request free programming for my school or organization?
    Contact Lauren directly at lauren@blooprintplay.org with your organization name, the number of children you serve, and a brief description of your program need. We will respond within five business days.

    Can my company sponsor a specific program or school?
    Yes, we welcome named sponsorships for specific programs, schools, and community events. Contact us to discuss corporate giving packages.
